The Dayton Area Korean Association is proud to represent the Republic of South Korea. On August 15, 1945, Korea was liberated from Japan, only to be divided into North and
South Korea. The Republic of Korea (South) established a constitution on July 17, 1948, when it became an independent government. South Korea has various religions and many traditions and customs that the Dayton Area Korean Association promotes through their language, food, music, dance and education.
