DEL PUEBLO, INC.
Del Pueblo is a non-profit organization dedicated to community building and advocacy for the empowerment of Spanish-speaking persons. Our activities are focused in Clark and neighboring counties.

Board and Staff
Del Pueblo, Inc. has an Office Coordinator who oversees the daily business operations and is administered by the Board of Trustees, a group of professional and non-professional bi-lingual individuals who volunteer their expertise. Volunteers are also an integral part of Del Pueblo services.

Partnership
Del Pueblo, Inc. is proud to represent MEXICO> in the Dayton International Festival, A World A’Fair, in partnership with a Mexican folklore dance group Sol Azteca.

Programs offered
Adelante:
provides tutors and mentors for Spanish-speaking students in collaboration with the Tecumseh and Springfield Schools

La Conexión / The Connection. Our information and referral service aims to connect Spanish speaking clients with area professionals and social service agencies, and to offer assistance to social service providers working with our Spanish speaking clients. We provide information and referral services in the areas of health, immigration and legal concerns, education, social service organizations and interpretation and translation. We provide direct assistance to our clients free of charge in the areas of driving, translating, and interpreting, as well as help filling out basic immigration paperwork and other applications (ie, for employment, passport, etc).

Charlas/ Talks.  Professional presentations about Mexico and other important topics given by Del Pueblo Board members or invited professionals, directed to clients in the Anglo or Hispanic communities,  and also aimed to professional and civic organizations, universities, and in participation in local, state, and national conferences.

Enlaces / Links.  Teaching partnership with the Clark County Literacy Coalition.
Offering English and Spanish classes free of charge taught by professionally trained ESL and Spanish Instructors.  Del Pueblo, Inc. has developed a strong collaboration with other Latino and Non-Latino organizations such as: DIFI, The Greater Dayton Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, The Latino Coalition, The Latino Connection, LULAC, The Clark County Literacy Coalition, The East End Community Service Corporation, The Ohio Commission in Hispanic/ Latino Affairs (OCHLA), Project Women, Milagro de Mujer, The Ethnic Minority Caucus, The Texas Migrant Council, and several religious organizations and universities. Del Pueblo, Inc. participates annually with other Latino organizations lobbying State officials on issues of common concern in Columbus, Ohio.

La Salud Sí Importa / Health Is Important This program includes Del Pueblo, Inc. active participation in health care fairs as interpreters and translators, consistent work with area health care providers, and a continue role in presenting topics in health education for the Latino community.

Matrícula Consular / A Mexican Official Document. This program informs and educates city officials and other governmental agencies about matricula consular. Del Pueblo, Inc. provides assistance to the Mexican Consulate in Indianapolis, Indiana, in collaboration with LULAC, East End Community Services Corporation, and churches in the Miami Valley.

  • Dance, Dine & Donate- a delightful evening full of Latin music, dancing and fajitas held at Los Mariachis in Springfield. All proceeds benefit Del Pueblo, Inc.
