Thanks for your interest in A World A’Fair.  2021 is our 47th year of showcasing and celebrating the different cultures that have made the Dayton area what it is today (with no festival in 2020 due to COVID-19).

fFlagsOpening Ceremony

Dayton International Festival, Inc (DIFI) is the organizer behind the festival and our Board is made up of the now 35 countries/ethnicities that take part in it.  All of our members are non-profit organizations and DIFI is a 501C3 tax-exempt charity.  With few exceptions everybody connected with running the festival,  manning the booths and performing on our stages is a volunteer.

Food! Dancing! Music!

Obviously we like to have a good time and we try to make sure you and your family will have a good time at the festival.  But in the background our mission is education.   We hope our visitors come away not only well-entertained and well-fed, but also better-educated.

Costumes!  Cultural Exhibits! Fun!

Friday, May 21, 2021: 5 PM to 11 PM
Saturday, May 22, 2021: 11 AM to 11 PM
Sunday, May 23, 2021: 11 AM to 6 PM

NOTE:  Due to COVID-19 transmission, the May 2020 Festival was cancelled.

We normally quote a three-day attendance of 24,000 but 2016 was a banner year with >30,000 total attendees and 2017 was almost as large.  This makes us the Dayton Convention Center’s largest event and the largest international festival in Ohio.   2020 will mark our 47th year, which also makes us the 2nd oldest international festival in Ohio, following Columbus .

May 2021 – Postponed. Maybe in the Fall.
